Lesson A wrap-up
Lesson A wrap-up: You’ve started your Résumé Journey
In this lesson, you took important first steps toward a complete résumé. You did not start from zero – you used the stories and skills you have already built in earlier milestones.
Today in Lesson A, you:
- Reviewed what a résumé is – and what it is not.
- Saw model résumés for Amira and noticed how her story appears on the page.
- Learned the main résumé sections: Contact, Professional Summary, Skills, Experience, Education, Extras.
- Completed your Résumé Map to collect roles, skills, education, languages, and tools.
- Wrote a first draft of your Professional Summary using your own story.
Quick Self-Check: “I can…”
Read each sentence and check it in your mind if it feels true for you right now.
If one of these feels empty or unclear, that is normal. Lesson A will help you organize and strengthen these pieces for your résumé.
Optional Reflection
Take a moment to notice your progress:
- What is one small step you feel proud of from this lesson?
- Which part of today’s work felt most useful to you?
You can write your thoughts in your own notebook, or type a few words in the box below just to think it through.
Note: This box is for your personal reflection only. Your answer will not be saved when you leave this page. If you want to keep your ideas, please also write them in your own notes.
Up Next: Quick Survey and Lesson B Preview
Before you move on, there is a short Lesson A survey. It asks how confident you feel and which activities helped you the most. Your answers help us improve the course for you and for future Skillforcers.
After the survey, you will start Lesson B: Build Your Complete Résumé. In Lesson B, you will:
- Turn one of your STAR stories into 2–4 strong bullet points.
- Begin filling your Experience and Skills sections using your Résumé Map.
- Put all your main sections together into a first full résumé draft.
You are not alone in this process. We will keep building your résumé step by step so that it clearly shows your strengths and readiness for work.
