Milestone 2: Demonstrate Your Transferable Skills

Milestone 2: Demonstrate Your Transferable Skills

In this milestone, learners explore how transferable skills, such as collaboration, adaptability, and problem-solving, play a key role in professional success. Through rich, differentiated readings, reflective activities, and scaffolded storytelling, participants analyze workplace scenarios and connect them to their own experiences. They build confidence in identifying, articulating, and applying these in-demand skills across industries.

Over the course of two interactive online lessons, learners:

  • Engage with case studies written at two language levels to support comprehension and access for B1–C1 English users.
  • Build workplace vocabulary and practice interpreting and responding to challenges using the Action → Result framework.
  • Reflect on their own transferable skills and begin crafting a clear, compelling story to present in the in-person workshop for Lesson 6.

Milestone 2 supports preparation for a 5-minute professional presentation, reinforcing skills in narrative structure, self-reflection, and real-world readiness—all aligned with NACE competencies and employer expectations.
